As we approach this holiday season, let us remember that it is first about giving more than receiveing. Jesus said that “it is more blessed to give than receive.” This is a powerful statement when you consider the wisdom that it originates from. When we give to someone other than ourselves, we strengthen relationships with them by developing trust and love. Nowhere else is this demonstrated more powerfully and more perfectly, than in the interaction between God the father, His son Jesus and all of humanity. The Apostle John recorded these words of Jesus the Christ “for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believe in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. “(John 3:16)
This life that He gives is not just for “living in Heaven” someday, but also for living on earth today. Of all the gifts that you shall give and receive this season, let one of them be the salvation that God gave to those He dearly loved. Remember JESUS LOVES YOU!!
