“Don’t Give Up!!”

Have you ever felt like you couldn’t see the end of what you were believing God for? Has your situation repeatedly drained your will to stay the course? May I encourage you by saying “Don’t Give Up!” I know that you may have heard this several times before, but I believe that God is specifically speaking to those who have been diligent to His word. There is always a performance of God’s word when faith and action is mixed with it. “Don’t Give Up” is more than just a phrase, it’s the willingness of the believer to “maintain their courage” in the midst of approaching doubt and disbelief. In fact, God even said “don’t give up” to His people when it came time to receive a performance of His word. He phrased it by saying “Be strong and of good courage!” (Joshua chapter 1 verses 7-9)
Usually when we are going through a trail satan will be there to try and make us give up by “discouraging” us or taking away our courage. Courage is defined as mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty. If we are persuaded to focus more on our situation rather than the word God has spoken to us, we can become weakened in our will to fight. That will to fight comes from our mental resolve, our moral strength to persevere; our courage. If you look at Luke chapter 8 verses 11 throuh 15, you will notice several examples of situations where “courage” was lost but only one where it was maintained. If you look closely enough at each situation you will see that each person had an opportunity to hear the word of God and, after hearing, was tried by satan. The difference between the ones that lost courage and the one that didn’t, was the will to keep true to God’s word.
Whatever your situation is now, I challenge you to stay true to God’s word. I challenge you to allow God to prove Himself in your life now! Whatever He tells you to do, do it. It will only make you stronger and settle your faith that you may become courageous.
